Whereto do you return, when you have become estranged from your home? When almost everyone would rather leave the town from which you came? Ina left and is now studying aimlessly in the Metropolis - probably just because she did not want to be like her parents. Her father, who died two years earlier, had lost his job after the fall of the Wall; her mother became the breadwinner, selling insurances, under the mistrustful eyes of her own parents, who continue to see the new country as hostile. Ina's father, grandfather and grandmother had been part of the "system", but Ina is unable to reconcile that fact with the stories she learned from books, newspapers, and movies, about dissidents and attempts to escape. Every discussion about this subject breaks down, and so does this one, when she comes home for her grandfather's birthday. She meets her ex-boyfriend Daniel, who stayed home, living at the poverty level, but stubbornly refuses to work for Heiko, the local start-up entrepreneur, who finally wants to create those "blossoming landscapes" by building a theme park...
