Fly Daddy

Beni’s dad, Christoph, is a fly. He is always buzzing about, quickly needs to finish something, and as soon as he sits down, he has to run again. Beni gets nearly dizzy by his father never not being busy. But when Beni wants to take a short break with him, there is never the time. And what about Beni’s big sister, Marieke? As a moth, she forages through the whole wardrobe. She can do this quite well by herself. But it would be nicer if Christoph kept a watchful eye while she is trying to break the record for flying-close-to-the-light. It can’t go on like this, Beni thinks, this constant buzzing and humming will drive everyone crazy. There must be a way to tame a fly, mustn’t it? Tame enough to just stay in place, without flying off? But first, you must catch it … Beni uses wit and imagination to fight for his father’s attention.
