John von Düfel has adapted three short stories from his book Wassererzählungen for stage. Four characters confront changes which they may perceive as drastic, but since they are playing out in front of a background made of water (literally, as their paths are crossing inside a huge aquarium), there is an almost soothing sensation of constant change. A father, taking a cruise, must learn to accept that his daughter is growing apart from him. A woman wants to quit her job as a decorative swimmer in the pool of a famous architect. A mother meets with her lover in a zoo and has to engage him in family planning, since her husband and children no longer giver her something to hold on to in life.

World premiere
14.11.2014 Hans Otto Theater, Potsdam (Director: Tobias Wellemeyer)
