Mila is on a weekend city break in Berlin with her family. While she’s sitting alone in her hotel room, her parents have gone out for the evening and her big sister Lara has seized the opportunity to head out into the big city on her own. Mila doesn’t feel lonely, though. After all, she has her phone with her. She scans through her school class’s chat group, and checks out the latest YouTube videos by vlogger i-Torch about the latest goings on in her life. Mila’s grandma even gets in touch sporadically; she’s trying out her new smartphone. But when she gets a scary voice message, Mila starts feeling uneasy. Strange noises are coming from the direction of the door, she can’t reach her parents and the internet doesn’t seem to have much to offer that’s calming. Mila switches her phone off – but now she really is alone. As soon as she goes back online, Lara calls. Her sister has run out of money and is lost somewhere in the freezing city. Mila and her phone to the rescue! With the ingenuity of criminal masterminds, Mila’s classmates work together to get Lara safe and sound back to the hotel before her parents find out.
