Eduard, the patriarch of a multinational firm in the hands of an expansive family, lies dying. A fight breaks out over his inheritance. From his deathbed, Eduard orders the removal of his brother George, which his second brother Richard begrudgingly complies with. Richard dutifully takes over the management of the firm, but other relatives demand influence, too. One of them is Henry Tudor who lives in China and is learning from an economic power which long ago surpassed Western style capitalism, offering limitless possibilities. Richard III is regarded as Shakespeare’s epitome of evil, not only thanks to the “propaganda” of the Tudor dynasty that followed Richard to the throne. Tim Staffel tells the story from a new perspective establishing it between the past, immediate present and the future.
