Halbstarke Halbgötter

(Semi-strong Demigods)
2F / 2M

Four physicians are getting an ECG. The audience can monitor their data. Heartbeats are racing; blood pressures rising – while we are listening to their story of stressful daily routines between sick-beds and operating table, 24-hour shifts, quick medical decisions, and burning ethical questions. A story about how life or death decisions become routine, but also about concentrated rituals of almost mythical proportions. Moments of happiness, strokes of fate are part of their daily routine, as is constant and permanent stress. The demigods in white take their own lives apart and dissect them with precise cuts. The aseptic room with the operating table as magical centerpiece turns into the point of departure for an examination of the living subject: the healer who needs to be healed.
