Accompanied by her husband Michael, a banker in the "new Europe", Julia visits her sister Elizabeth, a social worker, and her husband Harry, a teacher, to celebrate Elizabeth's birthday together. They eat well, drink and laugh a lot, they have animated talks about fitness training, conversational therapy, company philosophies. This takes quick wit, in a literal sense, as vicious barbs sneek in, indiscretions that quickly aim below the belt. "I believe that what I have written is a comedy up to the last half of the third act... but it is an evil one. There is no real humor without being a little bit cruel." (Norén)
