Karate-Billi kehrt zurück

3F / 6M,

Billi Kotte is free. Once he was a GDR decathlete and potential gold medalist, but then he was incarcerated just before the Olympic team took off for the games. He spent thirteen years in the psychiatric ward because of "strong suspicion of intention to defect". Now after Germany's reunification, he has been released, and has returned home - back to the same relatives and friends who had once denounced him. "With startling precision, Klaus Pohl has managed to intertwine the threads in which eventually all are caught... and connected in their criminal ways by bed and politics. By carrying it to grotesque, yet dramatically possible extremes, Pohl shows the citizens of a former GDR community being held in the grip of the sinister, at the same time narrow-minded and banal Stasi."
