Charlotte Roos
Charlotte Roos was born in Düsseldorf in 1974, and after completing her studies to M.A. level in German and Romance languages attained her first roles as assistant director. From 2001, she directed productions in Graz, Bochum, Hanover and Zürich. From 2005 to 2008 she studied at the German Literary Institute in Leipzig and has since published dramas and prose. Her play Chickens. Hawks. was performed at the Berlin Stückemarkt theatre festival, the St. Gallen dramatists' festival and the Author's Weekend event at the State Theatre Stuttgart. In St. Gallen, the play won both the Jury and Audience prizes, with the play receiving its world premiere at the festival. In 2011, she wrote the radio play Pig and Wine for the public broadcaster SWR.
