Julia Schoch
Author and translator Julia Schoch was born in Bad Saarow in 1974 and lives in Potsdam. Her debut, the short story collection Der Körper des Salamanders (The Salamander’s Body) received high praise from critics and numerous awards, among them the promotional award of the Friedrich Hölderlin Prize and the Annette von Droste-Hülshoff Award. Her novel Mit der Geschwindigkeit des Sommers (At the Speed of Summer) was nominated for the Leipzig Book Award, and her most recent book is Selbstporträt mit Bonaparte (Self Portrait with Bonaparte).
