Die Hypochonder
3F / 4M
Botho Strauss's first play, a crossover between a love story and a subtle murder mystery, takes place in an imaginary Amsterdam around the turn of the century. The woman who at the beginning committed a murder (or believes to have committed a murder) gets killed in the end by her (alleged) lover in the guise of his father. Throughout the play it remains unclear what is reality and what is a feverish delusion.
