Eros & Ramazotti

Three minutes can be a very long time. Especially when you are supposed to sing in front of an audience of millions at the Eurovision Song Contest and you can't remember a single line of your own song. Eros Falsoletti – once the hope of all Italy – will never forget the worst moment of his life. And he will never sing in Italian again! Artistically at rock bottom, he now makes a living alongside pianist Luigi Ramazotti at a small hotel on the Adriatic coast. Night after night, they entertain German tourists with Schlager songs and a holiday vibe. While Eros is content with this routine, Luigi dreams of a bigger career, confident that only through original Italian songs can Eros's hip swing and energy truly shine. Luigi insists that Eros must overcome his trauma, then, he’s sure, they will conquer stages around the world. Naturally, Eros wants no part of this, unwilling to risk another humiliation. But Luigi is persistent, and perhaps there's a flicker of hope in Eros after all? Luigi's ambitious plans bring the duo into serious turmoil. They nearly come apart until suddenly, their big break seems tantalizingly close.
