Fishing, Sedation and Death
(FISCHEN BETÄUBEN TÖTEN)

In a small bay on the Baltic coast Mascha finds the perfect place to regain a sense of peace and achieve some distance to her life inland, giving her the space to breathe freely once more. A new beginning - that, at least, was the plan. She is unaware that Janne and Jesko have been watching her for some time. They live in a house among the sand dunes from where they can see the entire coastline. It’s as though they’d always been waiting for the young woman. They take Mascha in and ensure that she fits into their little fortress against the harsh realities outside. For the first time in a long while, Mascha feels secure. But over time the solitude of the place becomes unbearable. While the view extends immeasurably far, Mascha finds her life with this couple increasingly close and restrictive. The two seem fully, exclusively focussed on her. Drifting away from reality, they become a vague yet threatening force. And they don’t seem to want Mascha to leave…
