Cake and boredom: That's all Wiebke, Rufus and Lisa expect from their father Werner's 75th birthday. Nevertheless, all three have dutifully travelled to the event - after all, no one wants to risk the considerable inheritance. As a result, the conversation is stifled and all sensitive topics (money, Wiebke's prospect of finally succeeding Werner in the company, Rufus' non-existent career and Lisa's love life) are left out. But when Werner surprisingly announces that he wants to be frozen after his death, everyone is suddenly wide awake. After all, it's not just the inheritance that's at stake. Does Werner want to take over the management of the company again as the resurrected boss? Does he, who has never had time for his family, want to spend his future with strangers? And doesn't it matter that his wife Esther doesn't want to go along with his plan? The fact that a mariachi band, booked as a surprise, keeps playing in the most inappropriate places doesn't make the discussion any easier - and yet it leads to a decisive turning point. With humour, warmth and a good dash of malice, Frost revolves around the question of how, with whom and when, if not now, we want to live our lives.
