Sebastian, 36, an author, should be in an enviable position. His girlfriend, Melanie, is about to become director of programming for a large American publishing house. She wants to take him with her to New York, cover all his expenses and publish his books. All he needs to do is to give up his apartment, take care full time of her psychotic cat, and, should they have children, take care of the baby. In that case she might even marry him. All this is fair, in Melanie's opinion, and Sebastian, too, finds the arrangement quite attractive, at first. But what his buddies, Malte and Jacob, think of his future plans is an altogether different story… When the battle of the sexes gets mired in the trenches, the men have to huddle and hold council of war: Morten Feldman ironically translated the classic "girl's talk" about relationships, careers and more of life's necessities into the men's perspective. Sebastian, Malte, Jacob: three men in their mid-thirties, more or less established, emancipated and basically ready to not "return to old-fashioned macho positions" are still far from ready to admit defeat by the women.
