Night Rate - Monologue
(Mondscheintarif)
Adapted by Britta FochtNeidhardt Nordmann
1F
It is Saturday, or more specifically: Saturday night. Cora Hübsch is suffering hellish torments. Because, three days ago, she had the best sex of her life. And he was the man of her dreams: Daniel Hoffmann, MD, good-looking, successful, apparently single. Cora would be in seventh heaven, were it not for one catch: Daniel doesn’t call. With every passing minute, the future looks bleaker. Equipped with a family-size box of chocolates, eyes fixed on the phone, Cora reviews the turbulent events of the past few weeks: Making a total fool of herself at the first encounter; the embarrassments at the following dates. Romantic dinners for two, strategic planning with her best girlfriend Jo, and, finally, that fateful night at his place. But since then: Not a word. Did Daniel really dump her after the first night? Or was it Cora’s own strategy that got in her way? Yet, when she has given up all hope, her story takes a decisive turn.
World premiere
