Kiro and Astel are a couple that is no more. Both have their best years behind them, although they are not old at all. The son moved out at age 16, and somehow they lost the love for each other, somewhere between every day life and job. They are not only connected by personal interests, they also run a business together, which markets the construction project "Beaumonde", a vision of a gated community of the future. And so two experiments overlap for Kiro and Astel: one where Celia, the maid, tries to use magic to melt the icy wasteland separating those two and to restore the love between them; another where the story of a business transaction is told, the sale of an all around secure "brave new world", which is soon to become home to Kiro and Astel as well. In Nach der Liebe beginnt ihre Geschichte, Botho Strauss wrote a wild fairy tale, full of mysterious encounters and stumbling blocks. A tale of two who went out to learn again - or anew - how to love.
