After an asteroid impact, the world is dark, there is only dust and fog everywhere, and most of the dinosaurs have disappeared. Only Babsi and Päm have survived – and Nagg, who hatched from her egg admidst the doomsday chaos. Because someone had to take care of this T-Rex baby, Nagg is growing up with the two dinosaur ladies. But that's not always easy, because apart from their very different eating preferences, Babsi gets lost in archiving everything that reminds her of the past, of the time before the asteroid, while Päm anxiously prepares for all kinds of impending catastrophes. They just don't want to tell Nagg about what happened back then, and certainly not about the world as it used to be. They prefer to teach her that dinosaurs must be strong and tough, that they must look to the future. One day, drawn by peculiar noises outside her cave, Nagg encounters a group of scurrying little creatures outside: Earth dinosaurs desperately searching for their families and friends in dusty burrows. They sing and howl and are full of emotion – it is only in their company that Nagg recognizes the feeling of absence and learns to understand their world in a completely new way.

In a tender and poetic way, Fayer Koch tells T-Rex, are you sad? (Does your T stand for tears?) of loss, loneliness and the big questions about the world – and of the hope that can arise when you share your feelings with each other.

«With Nagg, the colorful dinosaur world offers a character with whom children can identify, as well as the corresponding counterpart, to deal with fears of loss, experiences of loss and ways of dealing with them.» (Leipziger Volkszeitung)
