Tina Müller

Tina Müller was born in Zurich in 1980, where she also grew up. From 2001 to 2004, she studied Cultural Sciences at the University of Hildesheim (Germany); from 2004 to 2008 she studied dramatic writing at the Berlin University of the Arts. In 2003, she was a participant at the festival "World Interplay" in Townsville/Queensland, Australia. For the 2007/8 season, Tina Mueller had a scholarship at the playwright's lab at Schauspielhaus Duesseldorf, where her play Verlassen (Abandoned) was elected Best Play.

Her plays for young audiences, Bikini (2005) and 8 Väter (2010) were awarded Dutch-German Theaterprize for Children and Teens, "Kaas & Kappes".

Also, Bikini received the Young Audience Theater Award Baden-Wuerttemberg 2006 and the German Youth Theatre Award 2008. In 2017 her youth play Dickhäuter was awarded the Mülheimer KinderStückePreis.

Tina Müller is part of the performance group magic garden whose first production Diagnose Diagnose premiered in 2011 at Schlachthaus Theater Bern.

Tina Müller lives in Berlin.
