Elisabeth Pape was born in 1995 and grew up in Berlin and Chernivtsi in Ukraine. She studied theatre and literary studies at the Free University of Berlin, and then dramatic writing at Berlin University of the Arts. Her plays ran as workshop productions at the Volksbühne Berlin, the Theaterdiscounter, the Ernst Busch Academy of Performing Arts, and Kampnagel in Hamburg.
